The Whitefield Library Presents Come What May, a Beltane benefit featuring my orgingal artwork, kicking off with a reception on First Friday, aka May 3, 2023. Shenanigans. You'll find this "nerdy, witchy" (they said it, not me!) women-owned business on 906 Sabattus Street Suite 1, Lewiston, ME 04240. Featuring Maine-made metaphysical art, gifts, books, and ephemera. Parked over here amongst their objects of curio are my very affordable "misfit toys," which is what I've taken to calling early artwork, spookier stuff, experimental pieces with new mediums. This is to say they are super affordable and ALL ORIGINAL PAINTINGS. Only shop where I'm selling zero prints, only stuff right outta Studio Right As Rain. Go see what's happening at the only New Age shop in Lewiston before the tourists do.

 

Two Sisters In Maine Artisan Fairs. Karyn Reidman and Patti Gardner have opened a pop-up shop on 124 Main Street in Freeport, November 1-December 31st. Find Maine-made gifts crafted by 60+ local artists and makers! Keep stopping by as the season marches on, as the wares is constantly turning over. I was in last week to restock and there  week there were several others bringing in fresh artwork...one-of-a-kind pieces move fast. The store is definitely open from 10-6, except Monday and Tuesday. But sometimes you'll find someone there on Monday or Tuesday, so it's worth a shot if you're strolling through downtown Freeport. Take a break from the outlets and buy local!

Barridoff Fine Art Auctions. November 13-November 30. Barridoff Fine Art Auctions is hosting The Art of Belonging, a benefit auction and exhibit for Port Resources. 50-100% profits from all paintings sold will be donated to Port Resources of South Portland. Port Resources provides support for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health challenges.  They offer an array of services, including residential group homes, independent living outreach, day program, shared living quality oversight, outpatient mental health services and professional development. The UMVA Portland Gallery. The Portland Gallery is hosting Water, its first juried exhibition for UMVA members, and I'm honored that they selected one of my paintings.  The show explores ideas of fluidity, and resource, the necessity, yet scarcity we face. Water is also cleansing, yet currently facing issues of contamination,  concepts of purity in a time when materials such as microplastics threaten, water in terms of water rights and accessibility, and the effects of colonization on indigenous practices of fishing and access. Water is life-giving, but can also cause destruction. Opening night and reception is November 3 (First Friday) from 5-8 PM. Water runs through January 31. The Evergreen Gallery of Maine Art. In Maine's capital city of Augusta is an upscale, boutique hotel that evokes a strong sense of place for travelers looking for an authentic Maine experience. Photographic murals of iconic Maine images have been installed throughout the facility, and the walls and halls of the hotel's public space showcase art of the region, available for purchase. The Munka Gallery. "Reveals" Art Exhibit. August 28- October 1. Opening reception 5-8 on August 25th for Final Friday Artwalk presented by L/A Arts. July 15-September 15, 2023. "Waterways." A  dynamic curated collection of artworks celebrating water at the Central Lincoln County YMCA, 525 Main St., Damariscotta. The artists’ reception is July 22nd, from 2 to 4 pm and is free and open to the public. The exhibit, juried by Matthew Barter of the Barter Art House Gallery, includes representational waterscapes with a twist; fantasy marine creatures; crashing waves, prayers for rain, buried treasure, and more. This show will delight art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and daydreamers who wonder what lies at the bottom of the ocean.

The Gypsy Rose Tavern proudly supports local artists and musicians, and we love them for it. You will find several Right As Rain Eclectic pieces up on the wall  --along with several other area artists--  and our work is all available to purchase! April 21-June 31,  2023. "YELLOW: AN EXHIBIT." The Munka Gallery will host opening night for their springtime exhibition Yellow from 5-7. Stop by when you're out doing the L/A Art Walk! May 20, 2023. The Viles Arboretum Spring Market and Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the Arboretum's grounds, located at 153 Hospital Street in Augusta. Visitors will have access to an impressive selection of plants, including annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and trees. This year they will be expanding this event to include a "Spring Market" which will provide an expanded selection of locally crafted art, foods, gardening supplies and more; one of whom is Right As Rain Eclectic. In addition to my usual trove of vintage framed giclee prints and art gifts, I'm bringin' a few 2020-2021 originals to sell at print prices!

 

January 27, 2023. The Munka Gallery's opening night of their 4th group exhibition, The Winter Night, will be this Friday, January 27th from 5-7pm. December 14, 2022. The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Women's Networking Luncheon. Come see what we're all up to and meet some like-minded people. November 1, 2022-- The Lemont Block Collective and Gallery on Pleasant Street in Brunswick is carrying my paintings and some original artwork merch, primarily my Maine-themed settings and native animals. It's also just a nice place to visit if you want to support local Maine artisans and give heartfelt gifts this holiday season. Or just browse and be inspired.

October 22, 2022. Join us for the 2nd Annual Mystic Fest on Main Street in Downtown Winthrop, ME. Many of the downtown business will be participating. Just like last year the metaphysical practitioners will be housed within the various businesses.
Join our hosts (HeartFelt Energies and The Art Walk Shop and Studio) in this Downtown wide Event. Right As Rain Eclectic is at Lakehome Realty with framed fine art prints, canvas repros, and MOST IMPORTANTLY those Right As Rain Oracle cards which have up until now only been available by special order. 10 AM- 3:00 PM. September 17-18, 2022. Art Walk Shop And Studio (along with several other businesses in Winthrop is hosting its annual Summer's End Sidewalk sale! Meet the artists, look at goods, buy some on discount, get your cards read, what have you. I'll be there September 17th from 10-2 with a few decks left of those Right As Rain Oracle Cards...as well as a variety of vintage framed fine art prints. August 27, 2022. It's oh so holistical! It's ever so mystical! It's the summertime HOLISTIC MYSTIC FAIR in Augusta, Maine. I'll be there with some my Needful Things, which we all know by now are beautiful giclee prints showcased in restored antique/vintage frames or funky new ones *I* antiqued. There'll be the usual suspects: readers, animal psychics, healers, herbalists, probably a few MLMmers but only the cool ones. Here be dragons from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

August 12, 2022. Munka Gallery and Studio is excited to announce the opening of their second exhibition, Clean Water. Come and visit Friday, August 12 at the gallery to see this wonderful show. The exhibit will be featuring over 40 pieces from over 33 artists. [One of which is mine.] It is something you will not want to miss.

July 29, 2022. The Harlow Gallery is hosting an opening reception (with potluck!) for their members' exhibit "Everything, Everywhere." Five of my originals will be on display next to a number of other artists who are so talented it makes me shy. Opening is 4:30-6:30. The exhibit is running through August. July 16-17 2022. Senator Inn and Spa. Midsummer Art Show and Sale. Okay, technically this is a craft fair, but I'm only selling ORIGINALS. No prints, it's the real deal. Many pieces are already framed, they're all wired (or toothed) and ready to go up on the wall when you get home. The majority of artwork is 2021 --which is to say quite affordable-- and my 2022 pieces won't have this year's 30-40% gallery mark up, since I'm selling from Right As Rain Eclectic proper! July 9, 2022. This Saturday (like, tomorrow) from 11 until Rain o'Clock I'll be outside holding up the wall at the Art Walk Shop& Studio in Winthrop (121 Main) with some of my prints and pretty stuff. I'm drawing to pass the time, so if you want to join me bring a pad, clipboard or li'l lapdesk and I'll let you use my favorite crayon.

Also, please lend your support to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If you're an artist, feel free to bring in a piece of artwork to donate for the fundraiser lasting until August, and if you're an art lover come check out donated pieces and take something home. If the prints below look familiar, they're some OG's: Four "Twisted Fairy Tale" giclees in a 16X20 birch window frame, "Popham Beach Witch" in pottery weave, and "Shelter" in a whimsical polystone garden frame. [Those are my thingys, but there's a TON more; wait until you see Nick's pottery.] 100% of $ from your generous purchase goes toward the Make-A-Wish foundation!

 

June 18, 2022. On Sidewalk Saturday on Main Street in Winthrop I'll be camped out in front of The Art Walk Shop and Studio with a table of new pieces for you. Also, I'm toying with the idea of intuitive art readings, and if that's something which interests you, we can discuss the particulars. I'll be there from 11 to 3, weather providing.

After I accost you on the sidewalk, do check out the store full of gifts, treasures, books, and gorgeous artwork from creative types throughout Maine.

May 28, 2022- Since this is about "where I'm hangin'," events are going to include not just one-time affairs but wherever you can find Right As Rain Eclectic artwork. I've secured space at The Art Walk Shop & Studio in Winthrop, Maine, and you can pick up some of my vintage framed giclee prints, handbags, and whatever all else I end up stocking the shelves with. I may be hosting an intuitive painting event later in the summer, and --if so-- will post details right here. You can check out TAWSAS website to see what else they offer, which is quite the crafty cornucopia.

May 27, 2022-June 30, 2022. The Munka Gallery and Studio is hosting its opening exhibit, "Cows and Moons" on May 27th. Two of my paintings were selected, and I'm in intimidating company! You'll see some beautiful artwork and the space itself is gorgeous. May 21, 2022. Pop-Up Right As Rain Eclectic Shoppe! Okay, this one's  weird and last second. I'll be at  American Legion Hall on 396 Eastern Avenue (Route 17) in Augusta, Maine. I've no idea what to expect, but YOU can expect super deals on RARE artwork, because when you buy in person there's no packing/shipping charge or tax. Plus the stuff I sell is cooler than online. Vintage frames complimenting super-pretty giclee prints, first pick of my new art bags, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and discontinued canvas prints. If you're local, please come say hi and run my booth for a sec while I run to the bathroom.

March 1, 2022-April 1, 2022. Two of my newer pieces (Ran and Cenote, specifically) are in Art Show International's exhibit of their spring juried show under "Figurative Finalists." Art Show International is based in Los Angeles, my paintings are in their online gallery only. Both original watercolors will be available for purchase in May.

 

January 8-February 1, 2022. "Waking Up: A Beautiful Riddle."The Maine House in Hallowell is kindly hosting a collection of my 2021 paintings. The pieces are an exploration of navigating a neurodiverse life using mixed-media (acrylic, pastel, and ink, mostly) imagery to communicate and heal when my words are missing. It's really more upbeat than it sounds, I promise. Goddesses, fairies, magical creatures, mystical landscapes.
