So when I turned to oil pastel Sgraffito, I knew I was stepping into a kindred, but opposite, prayer.I'd gotten to a point with heavy medium that my art came from a more shadowy place in me that felt scary. And I straight-up wasn't as "good" at it.

Nature and myth have always been central to my process. Through them, the work becomes a bridge between the ordinary and the sacred. Ritual and contemplative practices woven throughout artwork offer a way to pause, to reflect, and to stay with what arises.
