A little slice of paradise...
Gold Lagoon, 2023, by Rachel Robbins
A long, lazy day hopping from the steam room to the mineral pool to the hot tub to the sauna and back again in no particular order, reading People Magazine on the lounge chairs, getting too much food for lunch, possibly a pedicure or eyebrow grooming from the Senator Spa used to be a semi-monthly treat for my girlfriends and me. Check it out:
This is the waiting room. I dare you not to accidentally fall asleep on the couch after a massage. That's "Fallen Angel" on the wall.
We should start up that tradition, again. It's crazy how everyone's life just went in all kindsa different directions back in 2020. Photography isn't my forte, and I took these with my "old phone," so please forgive the quality of my images! I'm so grateful to be hosted here.
The Salon is just reopening, now, and they're looking for one more stylist, if you know someone...Over the mantle is "A Circle of Endless Light."
Anyway, the Senator Inn and Spa kindly host about twenty of my paintings, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity and their hospitality.
[Soon more photos here, I'm writing this late at night and uploads take a million years]
If you go eat at the accompanying restaurant Cloud 9, I recommend the salmon and walnut salad. For dessert, get the blueberry crisp topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
More photos to follow.
TTFN,
Rachel at Right As Rain
*Update: Moving a bunch of my old artwork out of Cloud9 this week; bringing in new paintings soon!
