Barridoff is hosting The Art of Belonging Exhibit and fundraiser for Port Resources. I'm honored to have five paintings in the show. Here is one of them.
You Are the Storm, Rachel Robbins, 2022. Mixed media on 36X48 gallery wrapped canvas. It turns out this shot was a work in progress, but I didn't know it at the time. I never figure it out until months later when my hands are covered with adhesive and gold leaf.
I was going to write a long thing about Barridoff does here, but you can click and read. Basically it's a fine art auction house. I'll do another post closer to the auction. The online exhibit is going live on November 13th, and "live" November 27th.
Here is their website:
You can find Barridoff Galleries at 312 Gannett Dr, South Portland, ME 04106.
Now let's talk about the exhibit, The Art of Belonging, and what Port Resources is. From the website:
Port Resources cordially invites you to participate in a fine arts exhibition at Baridoff Auction Gallery from November 27th-30 with Reception Nov. 30th, 5-7pm. Port Resources empowers individuals with developmental, cognitive, and behavioral health challenges to live meaningful and fulfilling lives in their communities. One of the many ways the agency meets this commitment is in their support of artistic expression. Port Resources is excited to provide an opportunity for the artists they support to show off their talent alongside other community artists.
The community artists involved are donating 50-100% of our sales to Port Resources. Which means with every purchase, you are, as well. At the moment I don't have a list of other donors, but, again...follow-up post to come. However, here are three of the phenomenal artists who are members of Port Resources, and their paintings will be available:

Here's some cool people:
Sorry this post was kinda dry, but I'm pretty sure people don't read blogs in 2023 so it's probably okay. Tomorrow night is UMVA Gallery in Portland's first juried show Water. This is the third Water themed exhibit I've been in within the last year. Proof of collective subconscious, amirite? The gallery is located in the Portland Media Center:
516 Congress Street
Portland, ME 04101
The reception is from 5-8, First Friday art walk. Come for the free food and wine table, stay for the art!
All Yours,
Rachel Robbins
